Snakes and Ladders is a captivating multiplayer game that is now available completely free of charge. Suitable for both kids and adults, this game is based on an ancient Indian board game called Mokshapat or Moksha Patamu.
In Snakes and Ladders, up to four players can indulge in a thrilling dice game. The objective of this free game is to navigate through the board by rolling the dice, aiming to climb from the bottom square to the top square. Along the way, players will encounter ladders that help their progress and snakes that hinder them.
The first player to reach the top square emerges victorious in this amusing board game. It's worth mentioning that the historical version of this game was built upon morality lessons. The player's journey up the board symbolized life, with virtues represented by ladders and vices by snakes. However, there is also a version without morality lessons known as Chutes and Ladders.
The Snakes and Ladders dice board game offers various features:
